In this video, you will practice serving quickly, accurately and powerfully.
You will need 6 chairs, 6 cones, and 4 volley balls.
Here are two games to get you practicing: serving quickly and accurately, then serving and running.
First up is serving quickly and accurately.
Place three chairs on either side of the net.
The 1st one on the left side of the 3-meter line, the 2nd one on the right side of the 3-meter line, and the third one in the middle of the court near the baseline.
Position yourself wherever you like behind the baseline. Your partner should position themselves behind the baseline on the opposite side of the net.
Serve at the same time, trying to hit each of the chairs once and in any order.
The person to hit all of the targets first wins a round. If you win two rounds, you win the game.
Next up, serving and running.
Divide the court into two half courts.
In each of the half courts, place a chair on the 3-meter line.
Stand behind the baseline with three cones.
Your partner should stand opposite you on the other side of the net, also behind the baseline and with three cones.
The first person to hit the target three times wins the round.
Each player has two volley balls, and the game starts by both players serving at the same time.
After serving, run to collect the balls, go back to the starting position and start serving again as quickly as possible.
If you hit the target, run to the chair on your side of the net and place a cone beside it, then run back to the baseline to validate your point and continue the game.
Modify this exercise by placing the chairs at the back of the same half courts, or by placing them in the diagonally opposite half courts.
Now it's your turn!
