This classic indian sweet pudding is a must-have for festive occasions and celebrations in north India. This dessert is creamy, tasty, and easy to make!
Ingredients:
• 100 g basmati rice (or any quality rice)
• 1 l milk
• 1/2 cup sugar
• 4 tsp rose water
• chopped almonds (for garnish)

Chop the almonds

Wash and soak 100g of basmati rice for 30 minutes
100g basmati rice
Add some milk to the rice and grind it into a fine paste using a blender or a grinder
Boil the milk
1ltr of milk
mix the milk and the rice paste in a thick pan
cook the rice on a low heat and stir it continuously to avoid clumps being formed
if the rice becomes too sticky, slowly add milk, little by little
keep stirring until the rice paste is cooked and has a nice thick texture
add half a cup of sugar
½ cup of sugar and continue stirring
pour the batter into earthen pots
you can use almonds, cardamom or pistachio for the topping
add a little bit of rose water
Rose water
refrigerate it for half an hour and serve it chilled
