In this video we are going to learn how to hang a frame on a wall using an wall anchor (anchor expansion/ expansion plug/toggle bolt)
This wall anchor is a type of dowel specially designed for use in plaster partition walls. They provide contact with a greater surface area of the plaster wall as their toggles spring open once inserted into the wall, meaning they can bear a heavier load too
To carry out this job, you will need: a drill with a bit the same size as the diameter of your wall anchor, a wall anchor or toggle bolt, a hammer, and a wall anchor setting tool
If you don't have the setting tool, you can still use these kinds of wall anchors since they come complete with small spikes that dig into the plaster wall to prevent the anchor from spinning when you come to drilling
Start by making a hole in the wall using a drill. Then, insert the wall anchor. You can use a hammer to complete this step.
Next use your setting tool to open the anchor inside the wall
you can now hang your frame on the wall, using a spirit level to make sure that it sits straight
