In this video you will learn how to hit a forehand cross-court drop shot.

The forehand cross-court shot is hit from the right forecourt to the left forecourt.

If played well, it can deceive the opponent and set you up to play a winning shot.

The three key steps are the preparation, the shot and the recovery.

Step 1 - The preparation.

Use a forehand grip.

Start with a split step and side-step forward towards the net.

Lunge on the racket foot and extend the non racket arm behind.

You should be on the toes of your rear foot to help you balance.

Step 2 - The shot.

Wait for the shuttle to drop a little below the net and extend the racket towards it.

Tilt your racket head slightly, facing diagonally across the court.

Bend your wrist inward as you flick the shuttle.

Step 3 - The recovery.

After the forehand cross-court drop shot get into the ready position and be prepared for the return.

Practice your forehand cross-court drop shot until you manage hitting it close to the net and on the opposite side.

Enjoy your game! .
