In this video you will learn how to hit a backhand deceptive flick.
The backhand deceptive flick is used to trick the opponent by playing a flick shot in the rear court instead of a drop.
The three key steps are the preparation, the shot and the recovery.
Step - 1 The preparation. Use the backhand grip.
Start in the ready position. Shuffle forward and lunge on the racket foot toward the shuttle. Extend your non racket arm to help you balance.
Rotate the arm so that the palm faces downwards and drop the racket low
Step 2 - The shot. Get below the shuttle and snap the wrist at the last moment to generate power and more importantly to surprise and deceive your opponent. After striking the shuttle, there should be a pull-back action.
Step 3 - The Recovery. Once you have put the shuttle deep, push off with both legs and shuffle back and get back to the ready position.
Practice your deceptive flicks until you manage bringing your opponent toward the net and deceive him with a quick shot over their heads
Enjoy the game!
