In this video, you will learn an exercise to help you improve your manuals and nose manuals.
Draw four lines on the ground, each one 3-4 metres apart. You could also use cones, or any other kind of marker.
The exercise is simple- it consists of alternating manuals and landings with each line.
Skate towards the first line, then place your back foot on the tail.
When you reach the first line, transfer your weight onto the tail to do a manual.
Make sure your tail doesn't touch the ground, so as not to slow you down.
Hold the manual until you reach the second line, then start again between the third and fourth lines.
Once you've mastered this exercise, try repeating it, but doing nose manuals instead, landing your board between the second and third lines.
To finish, do this exercise alternating manuals and nose manuals.
Practice these exercises until you're completely comfortable with them. Over to you!
