In this video, you will learn how to connect a lamp with a simple switch.
The switch will make it possible to turn on the power for a lightbulb at a distance.
Before any electrical intervention, please turn off the power for the network concerned.
To connect a simple switch, you will need a wire stripper, a wire cutter, a screwdriver, a switch, a light bulb and a bulb socket.
This installation is carried out in two steps, as we will explain.

STEP 2: CONNECT THE BULB SOCKET
STEP 2: CONNECT THE BULB SOCKET
Disassemble the bulb socket.
Loosen the three screws inside it for the conductors.
At the location provided for the lamp, you will find three electrical wires: two power supply wires and a green and yellow ground wire.
Place the base of the bulb socket on the cable.
Cut any excess away from the conductors.
Strip the plastic off the ends of the electrical wires.
Place the stripped end of the green and yellow conductor into the middle terminal, and the two other conductors to the right and left.
If you have non-metallic materials and equipment, connecting the green and yellow ground wire is not necessary.
Tighten the three screws.
Verify that the wires are attached securely by pulling on them.
Put the bulb socket back together, positioning the plugs correctly in the ceramic fitting.
Screw in the light bulb.
