In this video, you will learn how to change a light bulb.
Before any electrical intervention, please turn off the power for the network concerned.
To replace a light bulb, you will need a light bulb, with the same base as the one you are changing, and possibly a step ladder.
This operation is done in 2 steps, which we will describe.
STEP 1: UNSCREW THE LIGHT BULB
STEP 1: UNSCREW THE LIGHT BULB
There are two types of light bulbs: those with a “screw-in” base and those with a “bayonet” type base.
For the “screw-in” base type, all you need to do is to unscrew the bulb to be replaced by turning it counter-clockwise.
For the “bayonet” base type, do not forget to push the light bulb in a little towards the base before turning it a quarter turn counter-clockwise.
STEP 2: REPLACE THE LIGHT BULB
STEP 2: REPLACE THE LIGHT BULB
If it is a “screw-in” base light bulb ", screw the new light bulb in by turning it clockwise.
If it is a “bayonet” base type light bulb, position the metal tip inserts into the slots of the base fixture. Push in gently and then lock the base of the light bulb, and turn one quarter turn clockwise.
Turn the current for the circuit concerned back on.
You now know how to replace a light bulb.
